Love is Still Necessary(2002)

Love is Still Necessary is a Japanese drama series that follows Rage, a ruthless pimp consumed by greed, after his release from a six-month prison sentence. He discovers his partner Reiji has died in a traffic accident, leaving him drowning in debt. When a lawyer mistakenly identifies Rage as Reiji and reveals a substantial inheritance from their deceased father, Rage sees an opportunity. He devises a scheme to assume Reiji's identity and claim the money for himself. Complicating matters is Reiji's blind sister, the only other living relative. As Rage infiltrates the family under false pretenses, the series explores whether his calculated deception can survive genuine human connection, or if unexpected bonds will transform his mercenary heart.
