Dance Fever(1979)

Dance Fever is an American musical variety series that aired in syndication from January 1979 to September 1987. Created and produced by Merv Griffin, the show featured live performances and dance competitions that defined the era's entertainment landscape. Deney Terrio hosted the series for its first six years before Adrian Zmed took over in September 1985. The program's announcer changed hands twice during its run, with Freeman King introducing the show for its opening two years until Charlie O'Donnell stepped in. During Terrio's hosting tenure, the show's theme was performed by the musical group Triple "S" Connection. Dance Fever became a syndicated staple, capturing the energy and spectacle of 1980s variety television.
