Apostle(2008)

Apostle is a Soviet spy thriller set during World War II. When the Germans deploy a saboteur into the USSR, the NKVD captures him—only to discover he's a Russian criminal who dies attempting escape. To infiltrate the German intelligence network and locate his fellow operatives, Soviet security officers recruit his twin brother, a rural schoolteacher, to assume the dead man's identity. What follows is a tense game of deception where the teacher must navigate a deadly web of espionage, double-crossing, and survival. Caught between two worlds, he risks exposure at every turn while working to dismantle the enemy's operation from within.
