Caviar(2018)

Caviar is a Soviet crime drama set in 1979 that follows investigator Alexander Kostenko as he uncovers a dangerous conspiracy. When his best friend and colleague Mikhail Fedorov dies under suspicious circumstances at a fishing port, Kostenko is mysteriously suspended before he can pursue the truth. Determined to find justice, he travels to Moscow to meet with the Prosecutor General. At Sheremetyevo Airport, Kostenko witnesses illegal currency smuggling and arrests a senior Ministry of Fisheries official, Arkady Lipman. His relentless pursuit of the case attracts the attention of powerful figures across the Soviet establishment—from the General Prosecutor's Office to party leadership and ministry executives who are implicated in the scheme. As Kostenko's investigation deepens, he discovers that corruption reaches far higher than anyone anticipated, putting his career and safety at risk.
