Dearest is a Japanese drama series that follows Rio Sanada, a successful businesswoman and wellness company president, who reconnects with Daiki Miyazaki, now a detective, when she becomes a key witness in a murder investigation. Fifteen years earlier, in 2006 Gifu Prefecture, Rio was a high school student dreaming of Tokyo University while caring for her younger brother as their father worked constantly. Before Daiki could confess his feelings, a dormitory incident changed everything. The series weaves between past and present, exploring how that fateful moment shaped their lives and what brings them back together under tragic circumstances.
