World War II is over and the boys are coming home

Homefront is an American television drama series set in the fictional town of River Run, Ohio during 1945–1947. Created by Lynn Marie Latham and Bernard Lechowick, the show follows the lives of families navigating the challenges of the post-World War II era on the home front. The series aired for two seasons from 1991 to 1993, spanning forty-two episodes on ABC. Despite strong fan support and advocacy from TV Guide and advice columnist Abigail Van Buren, the network cancelled the show before a planned third season could air. The theme song, "Accentuate the Positive," was written by Johnny Mercer and performed by Jack Sheldon.
