Machete(2011)

Machete is a Philippine fantasy drama series that premiered on GMA Network in January 2011. Directed by Don Michael Perez, the show adapts a character created by Pablo S. Gomez and follows a reimagined take on the classic film of the same name. The series draws from earlier movie versions that featured Cesar Montano and Rita Avila, as well as a 1993 remake with Gardo Versoza and Rosanna Roces. Machete aired in the network's primetime slot and was broadcast internationally through GMA Pinoy TV, reaching Filipino audiences worldwide.
