His mission: assess whether humanity qualifies for membership in the Galactic Union of Worlds. Adopting the identity of an Earth boy named Bobby, he forms a team of allies to combat evil forces—both alien and terrestrial. This 52-episode monochrome series was among the earliest anime exported to American television, blending science fiction adventure with Cold War-era idealism about universal peace and cooperation.
