Social Network is a Russian series that follows characters in Tomsk across three pivotal years—2021, 2025, and 2030—as social media becomes increasingly woven into their daily lives. Despite having unprecedented access to global communication, the characters find themselves paradoxically isolated, struggling with loneliness even as their digital networks expand. The show explores how constant connectivity reshapes relationships and identity, examining the gap between online connection and genuine human intimacy. As the characters navigate their dependence on social platforms, they confront the emotional toll of a hyperconnected world where staying in touch means staying apart.
