Speakerine(2018)

Speakerine is a French drama series set in July 1962, following Christine Beauval, a celebrated television presenter at RTF who balances her roles as wife, mother, and ambitious professional. When Christine collapses on air during a live broadcast, bleeding and unconscious, the incident sets off a chain of consequences. Days earlier, her husband Pierre was appointed head of Mondovision through connections with Eric Jauffret, the Minister of Information. As Christine's mysterious collapse unfolds, the series explores the intersection of personal ambition, political intrigue, and the pressures of early television stardom in postwar France. The drama examines how one woman's public downfall reverberates through her marriage, career, and the corridors of power surrounding her.
