The Righteous(2010)

The Righteous is a historical drama series following Basia, a nurse and member of Żegota, and Stefan, an architect, as they risk their lives sheltering Jews in occupied Poland during World War II. Their chance meeting blossoms into marriage, but while Basia commits to the underground resistance from the war's outset, Stefan remains uninvolved until a family tragedy transforms his convictions. The narrative weaves between their wartime heroism and present-day consequences, exploring how ordinary people became extraordinary resisters. Set against the horrors of Nazi occupation, the series examines love, moral awakening, and the personal cost of defying tyranny.
