Triumph Over Evil(1997)

Triumph Over Evil is a supernatural action series following Lin, a low-ranking official whose life spirals into chaos when he accidentally kills an evil monk's foster son during an arrest. Lin discovers he's destined to battle spirits and demons, yet his true desire remains marrying Ching Ching, the woman he loves. The vengeful monk dispatches his apprentice Chi to infiltrate Lin's life, putting him in constant peril. Protected by the mysterious Yuen, Lin must master magic arts and kung fu to survive.
