Veil(2018)

Veil is a Russian drama series following Oksana, a hard-hitting journalist who investigates high-profile corruption cases. Her work directly threatens Kirill, an investigator of serious crimes whose career she's systematically damaged. Though they appear to be enemies, the two are actually married and on the brink of divorce. When Oksana's latest investigation explodes into a massive scandal, her relationship with Kirill fractures completely. As punishment, she's forced to step back from the spotlight, taking a low-profile job as a correspondent for the local newspaper Evening Shroud. The series explores the collision between ambition and marriage, duty and loyalty, as two professionals on opposite sides of the law navigate their crumbling partnership.
