Frost(1997)

Frost is a German drama following seven-year-old Micha and his mother Marianne as they flee their violent home during the Christmas season. Escaping the boy's drunken father, the pair embarks on a desperate week-long journey through the frozen countryside. Along the way, they seek shelter from strangers, but each encounter reveals the desperation and loneliness of ordinary people.
