Striving for Freedom is a historical drama set in 1844 Silesia, following Mila after her husband's death in a crushed weavers' revolt. Seeking a new life, she emigrates to America and rescues Countess Cecilie Hohenberg from an abusive marriage during their journey to Texas. When Comanche warrior Buffalo Hump captures both women, they face captivity together and must find ways to survive. As Mila navigates this brutal landscape, she forms unexpected connections with those around her—bonds forged through shared hardship and the relentless pursuit of freedom. The film weaves together themes of loss, resilience, and liberation across continents and cultures.
