Burning Heads(2011)
Burning Heads is a Greek drama that follows three interconnected lives shaped by displacement and desire. Rina and her two sons, Antonis and Lefteris, emigrated from Tbilisi years ago. Antonis has become ambitious and socially mobile, engaged to his boss's daughter as he attempts to reconnect with his roots. His brother Lefteris, by contrast, struggles to adapt to the present, growing increasingly unstable and withdrawn. When Antonia arrives, she disrupts the fragile family equilibrium and exposes the deep wounds that bind them together. The film explores archetypal tensions between homeland, motherhood, and love, tracing how immigration and aspiration reshape identity and belonging across a fractured household.
