Santau is a Malaysian horror film about a prosperous family whose peaceful life unravels after mysterious new neighbors move in. Halim, a respected community figure, lives contentedly with his wife Nina and daughter Tuti in a modern village home. Strange events begin plaguing the household—unexplained occurrences intensify when Halim is away, with Tuti witnessing shadowy apparitions and Nina suffering increasingly disturbing episodes. When Nina falls gravely ill with unexplained pain and later appears possessed, Halim desperately seeks help from a midwife. The truth emerges in a chilling revelation: the family has fallen victim to santau, a form of dark magic rooted in jealousy over their happiness and success. As supernatural forces tighten their grip, the family must confront the malevolent curse threatening to destroy everything they've built.
