Virodhi(1992)

Virodhi is an action drama about corruption and vengeance in a system where power corrupts absolutely. Pinky, sister of the Police Commissioner, falls for Raj, the younger brother of Inspector Shekar. Meanwhile, Minister Badrinath Pandey runs criminal rackets with hired thugs, while his sons and fellow ministers rape and pillage with impunity. The police are powerless to stop them. Caught between conscience and duty, the Police Commissioner faces impossible choices as Pandey's network of corruption tightens. When Pandey and his allies target Pinky, Raj, the Commissioner, Inspector Shekar, and his wife, the stakes turn deadly. The film explores how institutional corruption breeds violence and what happens when ordinary people are pushed to their breaking point against an untouchable criminal elite.
