Security(2010)

Security is a Dutch documentary film that follows Tjitske, a television journalist granted her first feature assignment to explore the rise of right-wing ideology in society. She selects Bob, a charismatic security guard who navigates the city's underbelly—encountering VIPs, activists, and street-level characters—as her central subject. Bob's smooth manner and humor defuse tense situations with unexpected sophistication. As Tjitske documents his world, she confronts her own biases and discovers layers of complexity in both Bob and herself. What begins as a journalistic investigation becomes a personal journey, blurring the line between observer and subject as genuine connection emerges between filmmaker and protagonist.
