Magomaev(2020)

Magomaev is a Russian drama series set during the late 1960s Brezhnev era. The story follows Muslim Magomayev, the Soviet stage's reigning king, who meets Tamara, a rising star of the Bolshoi Theater, while recording a concert program on Sinyavskaya Street. An immediate spark ignites between them, but both are already committed—Tamara is married and Muslim is not free. Despite the obstacles, their connection deepens into a profound love that transcends circumstance. Fate intervenes once more when the lovers reunite in Paris, far from the constraints of Soviet society. The series explores passion, forbidden romance, and the tension between personal desire and social obligation against the backdrop of Cold War-era cultural life.
