Ti-Ta Tovenaar is a children's series following Ti-Ka, a young apprentice who lives with her father Ti-Ta, an absent-minded wizard, in a castle floating above the clouds. Ti-Ta brews magical potions and guards a powerful spellbook, though his magic has peculiar limits—he cannot transform strawberries into camels, only dromedaries. Ti-Ka learns sorcery from her father, but his scattered nature makes her progress unpredictable. She discovers she possesses a remarkable ability: by clapping her hands, she can freeze everyone on Earth in place like statues, and with another clap, restore them to life with no memory of the pause.
