101 Citizen Arrest(1983)

101 Citizen Arrest is a Hong Kong crime drama following Sergeant Xu Dahu, whose unconventional methods and clashes with his supervisor Li Pengfei force him to resign from the police force. Encouraged by his girlfriend Ho Yuk-kam, Dahu launches a private detective agency. Officer Ho Zi-wai, frustrated by office politics and unfair treatment compared to his favored colleague Li Chang-zi, abandons his police career to join the agency. Together, the two investigators take on a kidnapping case that unravels a web of corruption and illegal dealings tied to Pengfei himself. Armed with Article 101 of the Criminal Procedure Ordinance—which grants citizens the power to make arrests—Dahu and Zi-wai pursue justice outside the system that failed them, exposing the truth and bringing the guilty to account.
