Crocodile Tears(1978)

Crocodile Tears is a series following Lu Ganyu, a restaurant owner whose eldest son Lu Wenjun pursues journalism and launches his own newspaper. When rivals suppress his venture, Wenjun learns the ruthlessness of business and pivots his ambitions. He leverages the wealthy Huang De for support, then forces him out of their partnership. Wenjun's sister Wenqi marries Huang against family wishes, but their union proves unhappy. Torn between his love for two women—Xiao Ailian and Zou Shujuan—Wenjun marries Shujuan while harboring feelings for Ailian.
