Mur-Mur(2021)

Mur-Mur is a Soviet-era drama set in 1944 in the small town of Muransk, just after German forces retreat. With the men away defending the homeland, a ruthless criminal gang led by the recidivist Yuza exploits the chaos, preying on civilians with impunity. Four young women—Mariana, Agatha, Sasha, and Oksana—work for the local militia, an understaffed unit the townspeople mockingly call "Mur-Mur." Determined to restore order and protect their community, these unlikely officers must confront the bandits themselves. The film balances the tension of wartime lawlessness with the quiet courage of ordinary women thrust into extraordinary circumstances.
