Bob(1992)

Bob is a 1950s-set series following Bob McKay, the creator of the comic book superhero Mad-Dog. When a Senate sub-committee targets the series as corrupting to young readers, Mad-Dog vanishes from shelves and Bob reinvents himself as a greeting card artist. Decades later, the American-Canadian Trans-Continental Communications Company acquires the rights to revive the character, offering Bob an unexpected second act. The show explores the collision between artistic integrity and commercial revival, tracing how a forgotten creator navigates the chance to resurrect his life's work in a changed world.
