Medic(1954)

Medic is an American medical drama that premiered on NBC in 1954, becoming television's first doctor series to center on actual medical procedures. Created by writer James E. Moser, who had previously worked on the radio shows Dragnet and Dr. Kildare, the series pioneered a documentary-style approach to depicting hospital life and treatment. Moser's commitment to realism set a template that would define medical dramas for decades to come. His success with Medic led him to create the later television series Ben Casey, further cementing his influence on the genre.
