Chushingura Rhapsody No. 5: Nakamura Nakazo - Shusse no Kizahashi is a kabuki drama following an orphan who rises through the theater world. Nakazo trains under actor Denkuro and catches the eye of star Koshiro, but abandons the stage to support his struggling parents as an apprentice to merchant Yoshikawa. Unable to resist his true calling, he returns to acting and must rebuild his career from scratch. Obstacles emerge along the way, yet Nakazo finds strength in his wife Ogishi and friend Segawa Kinji. A chance meeting with a mysterious ronin becomes the turning point that reignites his passion and determination to reclaim his place in kabuki.
