Phenomenon(2007)

Phenomenon is a competition series that aired on NBC, hosted by Tim Vincent and judged by mystifier Uri Geller and illusionist Criss Angel. The show debuted in October 2007 and challenged ten contestants to prove themselves as the next great mentalist through weekly performances for celebrity guests. Viewers voted by phone and online to determine the winner, who claimed a $250,000 prize. Criss Angel made clear the show's skeptical stance, vowing to expose any contestant claiming genuine supernatural or psychic abilities. Mentalist Mike Super won the first season. Despite its high-profile judges and premise, Phenomenon was cancelled after just one season when NBC finalized its 2008–2009 schedule in April 2008.
