Tate(1960)

Tate is an American Western series that aired on NBC during the summer of 1960. Created by Harry Julian Fink, who wrote most episodes, the show served as a summer replacement for The Perry Como Show. Richard Whorf directed the majority of episodes and guest starred in one, while Ida Lupino directed a segment. Produced by Perry Como's Roncom Video Films, Inc., Tate followed the adventures of a wandering gunslinger navigating the Old West. The series ran from June through September 1960, capturing the era's appetite for frontier drama during the network's off-season programming. Though short-lived, Tate featured solid direction and writing that reflected the quality talent behind the production.
