Moonshine & Vodka(2022)

Moonshine & Vodka is a Russian period drama set in Petrograd during spring 1921, when the New Economic Policy transforms the war-ravaged city overnight. Jazz and chanson replace revolutionary hymns as wealthy NEPmen emerge on the streets, attracting thieves and violent gangs. Uncle Kolya, the city's crime boss, seizes the opportunity to offer protection—for a price. When some merchants refuse to pay, Kolya deploys his most ruthless enforcers, including Rodya's gang. Rodya, a former anarchist turned sharp-dressed thug and charmer, leads the operation with brutal efficiency. As chaos engulfs Petrograd and the police prove powerless, the criminal underworld becomes the real power broker, exploiting the city's rapid shift from revolution to commerce.
