Bollywood Hero(2009)

Bollywood Hero is an American musical miniseries that aired on IFC in three parts in August 2009. The show follows comedian Chris Kattan as he travels to Mumbai to reinvent himself as a leading man in Bollywood. After finding success in American comedy, Kattan discovers that breaking into India's film industry demands starting from zero. The miniseries, shot across Mumbai and Los Angeles, features elaborate dance numbers choreographed by Longinus Fernandes, who created the iconic "Jai Ho" finale in Slumdog Millionaire. Kattan's journey reveals the gap between Hollywood ambition and Bollywood reality, blending comedy with musical performance as he navigates an unfamiliar industry and culture.
