Nashville Star(2003)

Nashville Star is an American reality competition series that aired from 2003 to 2008. The show followed aspiring country musicians competing for stardom through live performances judged by industry experts and public voting via phone and internet. Similar in format to American Idol, Nashville Star distinguished itself by focusing exclusively on country music talent—though Season 6 relaxed this restriction, allowing contestants to perform across genres with country arrangements. The series ran for five seasons on USA Network, making it cable television's longest-running competition show at the time, before moving to NBC for its final season. The program was canceled in 2009 and did not return for a seventh season.
