Goisern Goes East(2008)

Goisern Goes East is a documentary series following Austrian musician Hubert von Goisern's audacious 2007–2009 Linz Europe Tour. Von Goisern converted a barge into a floating stage and sailed down the Danube to the Black Sea and back, bringing live music to remote riverside communities. At each stop, he collaborated with local artists for free concerts performed aboard the vessel, drawing enthusiastic crowds from the surrounding towns. The journey captures both the logistical challenges of operating a mobile concert platform and the cultural exchanges that unfold when a celebrated musician ventures deep into Eastern Europe's waterways. It's a unique portrait of music as a bridge between nations and communities.
