Emu's Wide World(1987)

Emu's Wide World is a British children's series from 1987 starring Rod Stewart and the mischievous puppet Emu. Two series were produced, building on the format of the earlier Pink Windmill Shows but with a pre-recorded structure. The show swapped the interactive phone-based Spin Quiz for Emu's Bargain Basement, a chaotic obstacle course set in a supermarket where Emu navigates challenges among the aisles. The series maintains the irreverent comedy and physical humour that made Emu a fixture of British children's television, with Stewart's involvement adding star power to the puppet's anarchic antics.
