Suske en Wiske - De Poppenserie is a Belgian puppet series created in 1973 by comic artist Willy Vandersteen and producer Wies Andersen. Rather than adapting existing comic strips, the show features six original stories featuring the beloved characters as intricately crafted puppets. The production drew on detailed designs from Studio Vandersteen to create expressive sets and props that bring the world to life. Lambik serves as the series' narrator, guiding viewers through each adventure. A notable departure from the source material: Jerom's doll appears with open eyes, giving the character a more animated presence than his comic counterpart. The puppets themselves were engineered with multiple facial expressions to convey emotion and personality throughout the stories.
