El Russo(2024)

El Russo is an Argentine series set on a remote peninsula outside Buenos Aires, home to a tight-knit community of Russian Old Believers who have maintained their language, faith and traditions across generations. A strict Old Believer woman and a ruthless Russian-émigré policeman—two people from worlds that should never collide—find their paths unexpectedly crossing. Their encounter disrupts the quiet isolation of the peninsula, forcing both characters to confront values that define them. The series explores the tension between tradition and modernity, mercy and justice, as their unlikely connection threatens the delicate balance of the insular community they inhabit.
