Fateful Mountain Pass(1974)

Fateful Mountain Pass is a historical drama following Akizuki Rokurōta, an illegitimate twin son of Tokugawa Ieyasu cast out from the family and forced into exile. His wandering life changes when he encounters Toyotomi Hideya and his mother Katsura-no-miya Renko, survivors of the Shogunate's assault on Osaka Castle who are now hunted fugitives. Both the powerful Tokugawa Shogunate and the ruthless Yagyū clan pursue them with lethal intent, while opportunistic villains seek to exploit them for their own gain. Rokurōta commits himself to protecting this desperate family from enemies closing in on all sides, setting him on a collision course with the forces that shaped his own tragic past.
