Blossoms in Dream(2024)

Blossoms in Dream is a Chinese series spanning decades of heartbreak and resilience. In 1930s Shanghai, young Su Xian dreams of stardom until film producer Boss Meng exploits her innocence and abandons her when war erupts, leaving her pregnant and devastated. Her mother Hui dies of grief, and Su Xian's sole comfort becomes her daughter, Su Zhi. By the 1950s, Su Zhi has grown into a young woman in love with classmate Zou Jie, but their relationship is tested by the shadows of their troubled family history. The series traces how one generation's tragedy shapes the next, exploring themes of ambition, survival, and the possibility of breaking cycles of pain through love and determination.
