Jimbo and the Jet Set(1986)

Jimbo and the Jet Set is a British animated series that aired in the mid-1980s, following the misadventures of Jimbo, a pint-sized talking aeroplane. Created by Maddocks Cartoon Productions, the show ran for 25 episodes between 1985 and 1986. Jimbo was meant to be a Jumbo Jet, but a measurement mix-up left him undersized—a dimensional error that becomes the running joke throughout the series. Set at a fictional London Airport, Jimbo navigates life alongside a cast of anthropomorphic vehicles: Tommy Tow-Truck, Claude Catering, Amanda Baggage, and others. An exasperated air traffic controller presides over the chaos, regularly threatening Jimbo with a stern "I want words with you!" The show blends gentle humour with aviation-themed storytelling, appealing to younger viewers with its quirky ensemble cast and airport setting.
