Border Guards is a Ukrainian series that opens in September 2021 as cadets enroll at the National Academy of the State Border Guard Service. Their stern mentor, Ivan Krynitsky—an ATO veteran—senses an imminent large-scale conflict and abandons classroom instruction for grueling training ground drills from day one. The show follows these recruits as they face the harsh realities of military preparation, pushed to their limits by an uncompromising instructor who knows what's coming. Grounded in real events and the experiences of Ukraine's border forces, Border Guards captures the intensity of wartime readiness and the transformation of ordinary cadets into disciplined soldiers under extreme pressure.
