The Seventh Rune(2015)

The Seventh Rune is a Russian crime series that begins when the governor's daughter dies under mysterious circumstances in the city of NSK. Moscow investigator Oleg Nesterov arrives to uncover the truth, only to discover her body was found at a role-playing game based on the Karelo-Finnish epic Kalevala. Vera, who leads the gaming group, launches her own investigation in parallel. As more victims emerge and strange events multiply, both investigators realize the mystery runs far deeper than a simple murder. A shadowy gambling game involving the city's most powerful figures—a banker, prosecutor, and governor—operates in the shadows, and its true purpose remains hidden from outsiders. Nesterov and Vera must navigate layers of deception to expose what's really at stake.
