The Storm(2009)

The Storm is a 2009 science fiction disaster miniseries about a weather control system created by the Atmospheric Research Institute that falls into military hands, threatening global catastrophe. As scientist Dr. Jonathan Kirk, his colleague Danni Wilson, and detectives Devon Williams and Stilman race to prevent the weapon's deployment, Kirk becomes a fugitive hunted by assassins. Directed by Bradford May and written by David Abramowitz and Dennis A. Pratt, the two-part thriller aired on NBC in late July and early August 2009. The series blends high-stakes action with environmental sci-fi stakes as the team works against time to stop a disaster that could destroy life on Earth.
