Asfur(2010)

Asfur is an Israeli television series that aired on HOT3. The title means "bird" in Arabic, referencing the protagonist's cherished good luck charm—a bird his late grandfather believed brought positive fortune. The show gained such momentum that the network greenlit two additional seasons before the pilot even aired. Season two premiered on October 17, 2011. The series proved successful enough that creators Savyon and Amir sold the format to John Wells that same year, leading to an American adaptation called "Hard Up" for FOX.
