Lester Guy, consumed by jealousy over his co-star Betty Hudson's unexpected popularity, plots to sabotage her career—but his schemes collide with the chaos of live broadcasting. The series captures the frantic energy and backstage drama of early television, blending dark humor with the unpredictability of going on air without a net.
