Yesenia is a Mexican telenovela following a Roma woman who falls in love with Osvaldo Moncada, a military officer, during her travels with her caravan. Their romance ignites a fierce conflict between two worlds—the close-knit Romani community and the rigid military establishment. Rashay, the patriarch of the Roma people, becomes their fiercest opponent, refusing to accept the union between Yesenia and an outsider.
