Mori no Asagao(2010)

Mori no Asagao is a Japanese drama series following Naoki Oikawa, a newly assigned prison officer in the death-row section. When Naoki witnesses the psychological toll of inmates facing execution without warning, he begins questioning the death penalty system itself. His perspective shifts further when he encounters Mitsuru Watase, a death-row inmate imprisoned for killing a man who attacked his parents. The two share an unexpected connection—they were childhood teammates on the same baseball team.
