Cleopatra na Onnatachi(2012)

Cleopatra na Onnatachi is a Japanese drama series following Kishi Minetaro, a principled plastic surgeon forced to work at an upscale cosmetic clinic to pay off his father's debts. Minetaro initially despises cosmetic surgery and the women who seek it, but finds himself confronted daily by patients with deeply personal reasons for wanting to change their faces. A woman requests her old face back after her husband grows suspicious of her altered appearance; a twin seeks to distinguish herself from her sister. As Minetaro navigates these requests, he begins questioning whether physical transformation truly solves his patients' underlying anxieties and insecurities. Surrounded by beautiful colleagues at the clinic—including director Yukawa Mari and nurse Kishitani Aoi—Minetaro gradually learns to understand the complex emotional lives behind each patient's desire for change.
