Jejoongwon(2010)

Jejoongwon is a historical drama series set in 1885 Korea, following the founding of the nation's first modern hospital. Baek Do Yang, a nobleman, abandons his privileged status to work within its walls. Hwang Jung, a butcher's son, rises to become a physician through determination and skill. Seok Ran arrives as an interpreter but pursues medical training to become a doctor herself. The series chronicles their struggles against tradition, class barriers, and medical ignorance as they pioneer modern healthcare in Joseon-era Korea, blending personal ambition with the larger mission to transform a nation's approach to medicine and healing.
