Pan na Żuławach(1985)

Pan na Żuławach is a Polish historical series following a group of repatriated Poles who return from France after World War II to rebuild their lives. Set between 1946 and 1956, the drama chronicles émmigrés who left Poland in the 1930s as they undertake an ambitious land reclamation project in the Żuławy Wiślane region. Led by Kazimierz Mikuła, these settlers establish a cooperative to drain and develop the marshlands, facing the challenges of postwar reconstruction and the complexities of returning to a transformed homeland. The series explores themes of displacement, resilience, and the human cost of rebuilding communities in the shadow of recent conflict.
