Previn and the Pittsburgh is a classical music series featuring conductor and composer André Previn in intimate conversations with celebrated musicians. Each episode pairs discussion with live performance, either with Previn at the piano or alongside the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra. Produced by WQED and distributed nationally on PBS, the program stood apart for its sophisticated cinematography and editing. The series showcased Previn's gift for drawing out revealing dialogue while creating a setting where world-class musicians could perform at their best.
